Rural Infrastructure

There is need to make rural communities a priority in terms of infrastructural development to help improve the socio-economic conditions of the people, especially young people. The bad state of roads, old and dilapidated public-school buildings with virtually no school logistics, lack of electricity, as well as bad state of most health facilities, have caused extreme poverty in most rural communities. Our Rural Programme aims at reducing poverty and increase the quality of life of the rural poor through education, Health and agricultural programmes. Since 2012, OSDA has been supporting rural schools with the provision of electricity, libraries, school buildings, and learning materials with the goal of enhancing school quality, increasing teacher quantity and quality, and increasing study time.
